About Us
We are a local Chapter of Lions Clubs International, serving Donegal Township and Cook Township. Lions Clubs are the world’s largest international service organization with a motto of “We Serve” and a goal of serving our individual communities to meet its unique needs.
Our Club has developed a project to place a Veterans Memorial in our community at the intersection of Route 31 and Route 711 on a plot between the Days Inn and the Sheetz store, and the project has been completed in October of 2025. Google Map Here.
A Dedication Event is planned for November 7, 2025, which will celebrate our veterans.
This project was brought to our Club by longtime members, Mr. Thomas Dix, WWII Veteran and a survivor of the USS Minivet Minesweeper and Mr. Robert Fuller who served on the USS Missouri during the Korean War.
The goal of the project is to create a lasting tribute to all individuals who have served our country as members of the military.
Especially current residents of our community such as Mr. John Shaffer, WWII Veteran, and Lions Club President Mr. John C. Proper, Army Veteran, as well as military members who have passed, and all of the other service members living in and traveling to our community.
